News.... New t-shirts are in the works. I have been requested to do the t-shirt for University of Illinois wheelchair sports by a friend of mine. I consider this to be quite an honor. So, the logo will be the same however the color of the t-shirt will be navy blue. So, tell everyone that I am working on getting a third printing of the shirt. I will be taking orders soon and all sizes will be available except for small. I hope that this endeavor goes over well, I know that I am excited about it. The price of the shirt will be the same $20.00 and does include postage. I prefer paypal but contact me here if you would like to make other arrangements.
There are also plans for a redesign of the logo. The redesign will reflect wheelchair basketball! I will also like to have you give me other suggestions. Let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Laura

Here it is... the picture of the second run of T-shirts.
Kate J. has been kind enough to send a picture of her modeling the t-shirt. For those of you who haven't ordered one yet I still have XXL's and a couple of L's left. For those who have ordered one but still want a surprise DON'T LOOK.

I think that they came out just how I had pictured them. That is glitter you know! Two different kinds of glitter. I think it says "Elizabeth". I hope that everyone likes them and wears it with pride. My hope for the t-shirt is to generate questions. Perhaps we will carry the words that Elizabeth will be proud of and tell people about an assisting device that doesn't have to be a stigma. We can also tell people about those that use just such a device, being just like us...Human being and worthy of respect.
I want to thank everyone for being so patient with me. Cheers to the new shirt!

The Shirts have been sent! Finally!!!
If you have ordered a Of Wheels and Wings t-shirt, they are on their way. I do have some XXL and L left over if anyone still wants one. They came out wonderfully. I hope those that ordered a t-shirt enjoys them. The process was a long one and I am sorry for the wait. I am still working on getting a decent pic to post. Hey, it's a new camera and I have to learn how to use it first.
Please check out "A Girls Gotta Fly" as there are more things that can help Beth listed there. Also Dawn A. had her disertation and is now Dr. Dawn. Beth has a link to her Blog so go there to give her a cheer. Well done Dawn, well done.

GOOD NEWS !! The shirts have arrived!
The best news. The shirts are in my hot little hands! In the next day or two I will be working to get the right sizes into the soft packaging and getting the right address on the outside.
I think that you will be pleased with the result. This is what took so long. I had to go back and forth with the printing company to get just the right kind of ink in just the right places. I am pleased that I took all the extra time to get them done this way.
I am also working on posting a pic of the finished t-shirt so that if anyone wants one can contact me for one. I should have extra XXL, XL, and L.
Again, I have to thank you for your patients. It is by your grace that I have something I and you can be proud to wear.
Yes, I had one printed up for Beth, Linda and Cheryl too.
My little secret... these have glitz! Please do take care and not blind anyone while wearing.
Love and Hugs to All

Update for all you patient people.
The shirts have been printed and are in transit to me. As soon as I recieve them I will be getting them out to you.
I am sorry that it has taken so long. I should have thought this out further before undertaking the project. I appreciate all of your patients.
There was a ten day delay in getting them printed around the holidays which has not made me a happy camper. I really don't know why that happened.
I am hoping to have the shirts by the first of the week of January 5th. As soon as I get them I will get them packaged up to you all and get them sent.
Thank you all for your patients.

Update Update Update
Hi friends, I am very sorry that I haven't gotten this updated lately. We got hit with a little snow this past week and things have slowed down considerably. I haven't had the chance to get to the bank in quite awhile so I have to get there to make a deposit so that I can make the final payment. After that is done they will be sending the shirts and I will be getting them out to you.
I have payments that have cleared for Kate, Dawn, Raccoon, Neil. I also have mailing addresses for you too.
I was hopeing to get to the bank in the morning. When I get back I will be making the final payment and getting them shipped to me. As soon as I get them it will take me at least a day to get them packaged up and out to the post here.
I do want to thank everyone for your patients. I know it has taken a long time and I am sorry about that.
Thanks again.
Love and Hugs to All,
Laura

Final art approval has been made. Shirts being printed!
Good news, I have made the final art approval. The shirts are being printed... hopefully as I write. I will be sending out shirts as soon as I get them. I do have a few extras so if you know of anyone who would like one. I have at least one L, two XL and A XXL left over if everyone who inquired sends me their information. It is really easy with pay pal.(hint hint) I think everyone will be pleased with the results. I am sorry it took so long for the final art approval but I wanted it just right. OK, I am a bit anally retentive about my art work plus I wanted you to get your money's worth. I really do think you will be surprised.

The shirts are being printed!!!!
I am happy to announce that the shirts are being printed. I confirmed today. If you haven't already placed your order and made payment it would be a good time to do so folks. I only will have a couple of t-shirts left over after everyone who wanted one gets theirs so if you are wanting a large or an extra large I will have one of each.

Spread the word about the T-Shirts!! I will be posting a computer generated likeness of the T-Shirt in the next couple of days.
As always I welcome your comments and suggestions.
Cheers,
Laura

Finally! I need shirt sizes people.
I have some very good news, the company Broken Arrow Wear has given me an outstanding quote for the project. As it stands now the t-shirt will cost $20.00 USD. That is for everything. There is one little surprise that I will tell you about. They have agreed to print the Athlete in gold metallic and the wings in gold glitter all on the maroon shirt. the other companies that I requested quotes from didn't come anywhere near the price that BAW has quoted me. So, that means that all I need now is the sizes that everyone needs. Once I get the sizes that people need I can place the order.
I am awaiting a computer generated sample image from them to post here. Hopefully they will be able to email one to me so that I can post it here. I am not going to guarantee that though. I do believe that we will all be pleased with the results.
Tell me what sizes you would like in a comment. Thank you for your patients.
If I am not mistaken Beth has another 8K coming up soon.
Love and Hugs to you All,
Laura

The t-shirts are nearing production.
First of all I have to thank all of you for your patients. I have made some decisions reguarding the printing company. The envelope please... I have chosen Broken Arrow Wear. There were some deciding factors in choosing this company. First, they printed in glitter ink. Second, they have free postage. Third, they have a very nice selection of T-shirts and lots of colors to choose from.
As it stands right now unless I get more feedback the t-shirt will be a maroon color with the wheelchair athlete in a dark yellow with gold glitter wings. The image will be placed on the front of the t-shirt. I think that will suit the most people. I have yet to find out the final price quote. But, I think that with the glitter ink, it will be quite affordable.
I decided on the gold glitter ink because Beth deserves the gold medal for preseverance. I still welcome your comments, and do appreciate every one.
As soon as I get the pre-printing image I will post it for approval.(I hope as I am having some computer problems.)

News Break
I have found another company, http://www.brokenarrowwear.com They will do foil and metallic or glitter ink for two dollars more per shirt. They don't do Bronze either! They also have a great selection of shirts. Since I found it I thought that I might as well offer it as an option. Please read the post before this one for more options.
Another development. I had designed another design for Beth's pit crew shirts. I actually forgot that I had done it. Believe it or not it was a front view of a racing chair, the wings, but for the face of the individual it had a skull and flames. I am not sure where I put it though. I will look for the design and if I can I'll post it. Then you can give me your opinions.
Please do comment and let me know what you want.

Just another snag folks.
In my last post I said that I would have selections posted by Monday. I was wrong! I have hit another snag in obtaining the design from the last printer. I still haven't gotten the design sent to me. I will be calling Monday. There will be shirts one way or another! Even if I have to do a redesign on the print design. Then as soon as I can get selections posted, I will. I am getting excited about the prospects.
One possibility, http://customink.com is a regular grey T-shirt with the black and grey design. Other colors of T-shirt and different colors of ink are also available from this company but the basic T-shirt is all they have. However, they have no minimum, and the price is quite affordable.
There is another company, http://sonicshack.com that offers a digital printing process which would be extremely flexible when it comes to the style of shirt that each of you would like. I don't believe that their is a minimum on any kind of shirt. That way everyone will have a one of a kind shirt. Just like Beth, one of a kind!
I am leaning towards the second company myself. Take a look and let me know what you think. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Really good news.
I got some really good news today. The roadblock that I ran into the other day has been removed. What the roadblock was: Copyright on the design. Who actually had the rights to the design. As it turns out I have the rights to the design. So that roadblock has been cleared.
Now, all I have to do is pick out who I am going to have print the shirts and what shirts I am going to offer and what ink color/colors to have the printing done in.
This is the time to let me know what you would like. The only thing that is off of the table is foil printing. I just feel as though that the cost would be prohibitive.
As soon as the past printing place sends me the design I will be looking at getting them printed as soon as possible so I will be posting examples of everything soon.
That is the latest news.

Options, printing companies and a minor roadblock.
Sorry, I have hit a minor roadblock until Monday. That doesn't mean that I am not working to get the shirts done. I have checked out Cafe Press and quite frankly I was a bit disappointed in their pricing. By the time postage and a little for Beth are added the price of a single shirt would have been over twenty five dollars. I didn't like that idea so I found some other companies that seem a bit more reasonable.
Finding the other companies also opened up some more options, like a wonderful cap sleeve tee for women in red and black. Two of Beth's favorite colors. When I get done sorting out all the options, I think that everyone will be pleased with the results.
Leave me a comment on what you would like and I'll see what I can do. I would appreciate any feedback that you can give me.

shirt update
OK here is the skinny on the shirts. I can get them printed in different ink colors, however for each color run I need to have around 20 shirts printed to keep the cost low. I can have the design printed on just about any shirt. Not a problem as to how many of any one color of shirt. I liked Neils suggestion to print in gold. I am talking about a golden hue of yellow. That would accommodate the darker colored shirts. I like Black, maroon, green(forest or OD) dark blue. The yellow hues would really pop out on those.
I am looking into womens tank tops and will update when I get the information.
Spread the word, show the design to others.
The small design for the front of shirts(for women who have long hair, yes Dawn A.), I am looking into that also. Here again I have the issue of an ink run. I need to have at least twenty shirts to keep costs low.
I will keep updating as I get the information.

Colors of the T-shirts
Hey folks, The shirts don't have to be HiVis lime. However, since the printing will be black and grey they do need to be a lighter colored shirt. I will check and see what colors are available so stay tuned.
